What
We Have Done For Others
Corporate Entertainment
Events
Since 1987, The Charles Group has been helping
clients plan and execute meetings—for a
select few or thousands—and corporate events—quietly
tasteful or spectacular—here and around
the world. Whether an event is sponsored by a
large, multinational corporation or a professional
association with elite and limited membership,
our challenge is the same—to create a memorable
event that meets and even exceeds the clients’ expectations
and brings accolades from their valued invited
guests.
- For a select group of 100 guests of
Verizon (NYNEX Worldwide), we created
an unforgettable seven-day experience at
the 1994 winter Olympics in Lillehammer,
Norway. From the opening ceremonies, horse-drawn
sleds carried guests along torch-lit paths
to a sumptuous dinner in a 16th-century
Norwegian farmhouse. Interpreters helped
bridge language barriers and glowing fireplaces
warmed hearts and toes long into the evening.
- For close to 1000 guests of a global
insurance company, we chose The Kimmel
Center, Philadelphia’s newest and
internationally acclaimed performing arts
complex, where guests dined on gourmet
delicacies and then enjoyed an unforgettable
performance by Natalie Cole.
- For a more elite group of guests to be honored
by the same client, we brought a group
of 400 to the Philadelphia Museum of Art
to celebrate the 100th birthday of Salvador
Dali—one
of the most unusual and imaginative artists
of the 20th century. After an elegant reception
and dinner, guests were entertained by a
performance of String Theory, a highly original
collaborative ensemble that combines music,
movement and sculptural long-string installations.
Product Launches
Because the launch meeting may make or break
a product’s future success, we emphasize
the variety and depth we offer clients for
this demanding type of corporate event.
- For the launch
of a major pharmaceutical product awaiting
FDA approval, we went instantly from “on
hold” to “book now,” arranging
travel, lodging, dining, hospitality and
meeting space for 1,000 on short notice.
- For the launch
of a new luxury car, we registered
thousands of dealers around the world,
and participated in a simultaneous video
broadcast of the meeting in their regions.
- For the launch
of a worldwide fiber optic telephone network, we
handled all pre-launch marketing, managed
a company-wide database, conducted a series
of customized trade shows, and executed
numerous other activities to enhance corporate
visibility.
Awards And Fundraising Programs
Whether honoring one outstanding individual
or bestowing accolades on 100, awards events
have value beyond your organization and its members.
With a constant eye on our client’s goal—to
entertain and impress within the budget—we
have brought an extra measure of attention, organization
and finesse to awards programs in the public
relations, pharmaceutical, fine jewelry, and
other industries. If an added goal is to generate
income, we are ready to proffer fundraising ideas
and handle everything from registration income
to sponsorships, from auctions to donations.
International Trade Shows/Events
The logistics and demands of worldwide
events—overcoming language and time zone
barriers, finding desirable venues in far-flung
places, choosing that unique ambiance, arranging
international travel and accommodations—represent
familiar territory for us. Our international
experience includes Canada, Europe and the Far
East.
From
the Olympics in Norway to trade shows
in Hong Kong, The Charles Group has supported
and produced events for major corporations
such as Verizon (formerly NYNEX), Lederle
Pharmaceutical and the Risk and Insurance
Management Society. With our assistance
and creative planning, events, lasting
from two to seven days with from 50 to
1,800 attendees, have increased our clients’ market
visibility and enhanced their corporate
images worldwide. |
