History

The Charles Group was founded in 1987 in Westchester, New York, as a home-based one-woman enterprise. While still in its infancy, The Charles Group received a challenge from the New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute, that instantly placed the new company among established names in the meeting and events business. Chosen over 100 competitors, The Charles Group successfully negotiated a statewide series of community-based seminars for the AIDS Institute.

In short order, corporate clients joined state agencies in benefiting from the talent and entrepreneurial drive of the young organization. Under the leadership of Ms. Dunkelman and Ms. Davis-Grossman, The Charles Group has flourished and has developed an international reputation for creating unforgettable corporate events.

Based in Fairfield, New Jersey, The Charles Group offers a wide range of event management services. Their high-caliber clientele is drawn from the medical, insurance, pharmaceutical, public relations, telecommunications and automotive industries as well as from a variety of Fortune 500 corporations.

As hands-on partners, Susan Dunkelman and Carol Davis-Grossman share practical and creative problem-solving roles.
