The event | The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Woman of the Year Luncheon (WOTY) honors exceptional women from across the globe in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
The history | The Charles Group has managed WOTY since its inception… more than two decades.
The task | This luncheon, which started in 1990 with only 350 attendees, has since become the “go to” meeting for the healthcare industry, with now over 2,300 guests. The HBA honors one, exemplary woman in the healthcare industry with the prestigious Woman of the Year Award, in addition to an Honorable Mentor Award, the Star Volunteer Award and nearly 100 Rising Star Awards for up-and-coming women in these bustling industries.
In 2010, The Charles Group once again secured the largest ballroom in New York City for this extravagant, sold-out luncheon.
What we did | Reviewed and selected the site; contracted room blocks; oversaw the budget; managed database registration; coordinated marketing and promotion; coordinated sponsorship support; and managed the event onsite, including coordinating numerous receptions and meetings around the luncheon.
